Slacker

Well, I have been slacking on my updates. I have no real reason, just keeping up with the kiddos. Yesterday I took Logan to the doctor, for the sniffles & coughing he had been having & also for his speech. Turns out that it was a very good idea to bring him in. First they tell me he has a sinus infection. Poor baby, I was thinking that it might be allergies & he has been suffering. It makes me feel like a bad Mom, but at least now he will get better. Second, they notice his speech is not up to par also. So, we are now waiting for an appointment for a speech evaluation. The NP, who to me is way better than any doctor we have ever seen, tells me that it is nothing too serious. She thinks that he might have Speech Apraxia. That is when somewhere between him thinking the word & saying it, something gets scrambled up. Logan thinks that he is saying his words just like you do, but it sounds nothing like it. I am just so glad that I knew his speech was not where it should be & I didn't just take a wait & see approach. Now we have the ball rolling & with some speech therapy he is going to be just fine. This part makes me feel like a good mom. I guess the good out weighs the bad on this one. Ellie is doing good & is as crazy as ever. I will have to post her latest escapade later. I promise to take some pictures today & post them later.
