One Year Ago Today

One year ago today my precious little Elizabeth Elise Soos was born. It is so hard to believe that the year has gone by already. This time last year I was calling Eric to tell him I didn’t feel very good & maybe he should come home from work. This time last year we went to eat at Moe’s for the last time as a family of 3, & I thought that my water had broken in the restaurant. I called my Dr. & they told me to come in. I wasn’t feeling Ellie moving around very much so they were pretty worried about that so they sent me to the hospital. When we left the Dr. I was 2 centimeters dilated, by the time I got to the hospital I was at 4 & they decided to keep me to have the baby. I wasn’t feeling too good so they Okayed the epidural, YEAH!!! Once that was done I was so nauseous that they gave me some medicine to make me feel better. Note to anyone pregnant reading this, DON”T GET THAT MEDICINE. I was pretty messed up & Eric was scared that I would be too drugged to have the baby. I could also see Andrea, Ellie’s Godmother looking on in fear, & I was thinking to myself she might not want to have kids after seeing this.

At this point I could still feel the contractions, but I don’t know if the anesthesiologist didn’t believe me, or he was too busy watching the Pittsburg Steelers on Monday night football, to check it out. I of course was right & the epidural had come out. They had to put it in AGAIN, & right after it started working it was time to push. I started pushing at about 10:59 pm & Ellie was born at 11:02 pm. Yes, that’s right 3 minutes of pushing, I am an awesome pusher. Ellie came into the world with her cord wrapped so tight around her neck that Eric couldn’t even cut it. She weighed 6lbs & 3 ozs & was 20.5 inches long. That to me is a big baby since Logan was only 5 lbs 15 ozs.

This time last year was one of the most precious & special days of my life. I will never forget it & I still can’t believe my last little baby is One Year Old today. Even though she may eat us out of house & home, I love you more than words can say little girl. HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO MY LITTLE ANGEL ELLIE.
